A Serbian newspaper photographer was recently sentenced to seven years imprisonment by a military court in Belgrade. He was arrested for publishing photographs he had taken in Kosovo of soldiers of the Serbian regular army allegedly executing Kosovar civilians.

Serbian army higherups denied any knowledge of these events, the story has been suppressed and the photographer was charged under the countries' propaganda laws.
